CDR FUNDRAISING GROUP DIGITAL DESIGNER

Description:

The Digital Designer partners with team members to deliver high quality creative that is strategic and on time. The Digital Designer is fluent in user experience principles and methods and understands how to integrate with other channels.  The Designer executes an idea from beginning to end while effectively communicating required information to the team.  The Designer will possess exceptional attention to detail and can balance business objectives with creative efforts. They will push the creative conceptually and aesthetically to ensure quality digital creative is produced to the best of their ability every day. 

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets and translates input from clients and creative directors into effective creative executions.
  • Rationalizes and presents creative recommendations to team.
  • Articulates abstract creative ideas to teams and clients.
  • Handles multiple projects at various stages concurrently as part of a team or independently.
  • Implements diplomacy and nurtures rapport with team and clients.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge with respect to design, cultural, and business trends.
  • Concepts creative ideas and is an active listener who provides constructive feedback.
  • Accepts and implements constructive feedback when appropriate.
  • Practices good housekeeping etiquette with respect to working files, servers.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills:

  • 3-5 years of digital design experience as part of an ad agency or in-house team. 
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced agency environment and a variety of creative-oriented tasks. 
  • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Possesses a pro-active mindset, the ability to see the bigger picture, and patience.
  • Tirelessly curious, collaborative, and strives for fresh creative.
  • High-level proficiency with Adobe® Creative Cloud: XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft® Office.
  • Other core competencies include empathy, resilience, and drive.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (visual communications, graphic design, advertising).

Experience:

  • Direct response or fundraising experience required.
  • Online portfolio showcasing qualifications required.
  • Ability to animate through timeline-based techniques or HTML5 coding.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Workfront, Basecamp, or Asana.
