CDR FUNDRAISING GROUP DESIGNER

Description:

The Designer works with the Creative Director, Art Director, and other senior creative staff to design and fully develop direct mail packages that effectively elicit a response by motivating donors to act and support our nonprofit clients’ missions. The ideal candidate must be able to work in fast-paced, creative environment with constantly shifting schedules and priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Creative Director and Art Director to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative conventional and premium-based direct mail packages from inception to delivery of print-ready art to printers.
  • Creates presentation-ready artwork, including mock-ups, boards, and spreads.
  • Attends internal project development and workflow tracking meetings.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of direct mail concepts and print production.
  • Solid knowledge of design programs.
  • Digital design experience a plus, but not required.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work independently within established timelines.
  • Is comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment, performing a variety of client service tasks.
  • Able to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and on teams.
  • Other key competencies include adaptability, initiative and innovation, sound judgement, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design required.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of design experience in creative department required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and XD) and Microsoft Office in an OSX environment is a must.
  • Qualified candidates must provide access to a well-maintained creative portfolio.
