Graphic Designer

Are you motivated? Do you love design? Are you a team player? Then we are looking for YOU. CDR Fundraising Group, located in Bowie, Maryland, is on the hunt for a full-time Graphic Designer to join our direct mail internal design team!

DO YOU HAVE ARTISTIC SENSIBILITY?  Knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition? Are you detail oriented?

ARE YOU WELL-VERSED IN THE USE OF DESIGN ELEMENTS? Can you take an idea and effectively communicate it to your audience? Can you use fonts, colors and images to create a balanced composition, while simultaneously conveying meaning effectively?

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Primarily creating graphic design layouts for different nonprofit clients.
• Assisting other departments with materials, layouts, presentation materials and more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year degree in graphic communications/design
• 1-2 years working as designer in advertising, marketing or similar experience
• Excellent graphic design skills, including the effective use of color, composition, and typography
• Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Love of creative collaboration and ability to take direction
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively using visuals
• Great creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Web experience with e-newsletters/banner ads/website design is a plus

Senior Account Director

CDR Fundraising Group has over 28 years of servicing nonprofits, and we’re continuing to grow! We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to join us as a Senior Account Director for our Bowie, MD, team. This dynamic role will bring together online and offline strategies and also be responsible for channel acquisition, including Direct Response Television. Working very closely with leadership and account team members, this person will be directing all aspects of program growth and health including: budgeting; strategy development to ensure online, offline and DRTV are working together; partner management including call center, media planner and creative services; approving and assisting with segmentation strategy and supporting test designs; channel integration; and analytical/reporting oversight.

The successful candidate must have strong client service skills and be able to work integrally with other team members to develop and execute client programs and strategies. Job requirements: 7+ years of direct marketing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. CDR Fundraising Group is looking for someone who is as passionate about fundraising as we are—a strong desire to be a part of the growth of our clients and our industry is a must.
